Modified on: Tue, 22 Oct 2024 10:06 AM

Title: PrinterLogic: Documents sent to the printer are not being printed out

Issue description:

After the PrinterLogic client has already been installed on the user's computer, and the user was initially able to print documents normally, suddenly all documents sent to the printer are not being printed out.

Conditions:

  • PrinterLogic client is already installed.
  • Computer's OS is Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Windows has pending updates to install, specifically updates related to:
  • Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 / Windows 11

Signs:

  • Printer is shown as available and ready to print.
  • Documents are being sent successfully to the printer (apparently).
  • Printing queue is empty, there are no documents pending to print.

Basic troubleshooting steps:

1. Check for updates manually:

  • Select the Start  button, then
  • Select Settings  > Update & Security  > Windows Update  >, and then
  • Select Check for updates

2. Look for the Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 / Windows 11.

3. Click on Download and install or Download and install all:

Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10/11 (Source: Microsoft.com)

4. Restart your computer (if it was not automatically restarted by Windows Update).
